AccessHC and Inspiro Potential Merger Announcement
17 April 2024
Access Health and Community (AccessHC) and Inspiro are exploring a potential merger of our two community health organisations.
We are pleased to share this update and believe that a merger will be a significant and positive step for the delivery of services to our communities across the East, North and Northeast of Melbourne and the Yarra Ranges.
Our organisations have a long track-record of partnering together to improve health and wellbeing for our communities and have shared purpose and values that will be the foundation for any merger.
If the merger proceeds, we will be maintaining and expanding the high-quality services we offer to our communities.
Our collective expertise and reach have the potential to deliver greater impact and innovation for our clients and communities, enable us to expand our quality services and respond strongly and sustainably to a rapidly changing policy, funding and competitive environment.
The two organisations have recently completed an assessment of the benefits from any merger. We are now entering a formal due diligence process that we expect will take a further two to three months. If the merger proceeds, a transition period of around nine months will follow.
For the time being, it is business as usual, with no changes to service delivery, as we continue to deliver quality care to our clients and communities.
We will provide regular updates to our workforces and communities on any changes that may impact them.
